There are tons of gadgets in the world now and there are more and more new. Some people don’t really follow the news related to gadgets and don’t use any of them but on the other side there are people that are gadget addicts and are buying as many as they can afford. Her is a list of gadgets that were popular in 2013:

1. Google Chromecast is a thumb-sized gizmo that after plugging it into one of your TV’s HDMI ports, you can fling videos and other content from your laptop, tablet or phone to the big screen. There are no wires involved.

2. Oculus Rift Development Kit. This kit aimed at the game developers. It is very addictive once you strap on this virtual-reality headset onto your noggin and experience it in action.

3. Pebble Smartwatch. This wearable gizmo acts as a satellite for your iPhone or Android handset, receiving snippets such as text-message notifications via Bluetooth and displaying them on its power-efficient E Ink display. Third-party developers can write programs to let it do everything from playing games to tracking your fitness. And of course it tells time.

4. Leap Motion Controller is pint-sized USB accessory for Windows PCs and Macs. It is an $80 preview of where man-machine interfaces may be head. Plug it and you can perform different task, from playing games to reading a newspaper by waving your hands in the air. The technology is also being built into laptops, starting with HP’s Envy17 Leap Motion SE.

Yes, gadgets are supposed to be useful and help us in something, but not all of them are good and useful. Some are just stupid and that’s why we are going to classify them as the worst gadgets ever. Here is a list of some of the worst gadgets:

1. Pizza scissors – A nightmare to wash, the hybrid of spatula/scissor complicated the simple business of cutting a slice of pizza. Failed to catch on.

2. BBQ Donut – Ever wanted to grill some kielbasa on a sophisticated inner tube under an umbrella out in the middle of the water? Me neither.

3. CTA Digital iPotty – Kids already have a hard enough time shooting straight, if you catch our drift. So how does a digital toilet with an attached iPad make for a more efficient toilet-training method? It doesn’t really right?

4. iPod Toilet Speaker

5. Foot Tanner – For $230, one would expect the full-body tan treatment. Bronzing your feet at the beach comes at a much cheaper price.

The year 2013 is done but it brought lots of technology innovations that will help us in the next years. Innovations led by education and knowledge make our lives easier. Here are some breakthrough products that marked the previous year:

1. Pebble watch. Pebble smartwatch introduced many people to the benefits of wearable technology. The Pebble’s e-paper display links to a smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing users to control their music, view text messages or tweets, and screen calls. And thanks to a software development kit, programmers can create apps to run on the watch. With just a twist of the wrist, a user gets a quick and stealthy peek at the wider world. Well also you have to pay around $150 as-well.

2. Seiki 50-Inch 4K TV. I am sure most of you have never heard of Seiki. Well it is a television company that offers a 4K TV for $1300! Major electronics manufacturers were planning to introduce similar-size ultra-HD (3840×2160) sets at prices around $5000 but Seiki beat them with no-frills TV that has no Internet connectivity and no 3D , just super –HD at a good price.

3. Thalmic Labs MYO. It turns human motion into digital control. However, the MYO is not confined to a room or a desktop. The bracelet uses a variety of motion-tracking sensors to measure the position and orientation of a user’s arm in space. It senses the electrical activity of muscles that corresponds to finger movements, allowing for complex gesture controls such as pinch, point and grasp.

It grew rapidly during the first decade but sales plunged in the wake of the worldwide financial downturn and the oil crises. The ownership changed three times after 1973 and it includes bankruptcy in 1978.

Automobile Lamborghini S.p.A. controls Volkswagen group Italia S.p.A., MML S.p.A, Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., Italdesign Guidaro S.p.A.

Nike made a new gadget that tracks all the exertion and motivates you to get more active by turning your workout and everyday activities into a game with a reward called NikeFuel.

NikeFuel is a wristband that records data collected by an accelerometer. It also tracks calories expended, steps taken and the time of day as well as your NikeFuel score and presents it on a LED display. Your scored depends on an algorithm that assigns points to various movements which means the more active you are, the more NikeFuel you earn! The activities are measured the same way or everyone regardless of how many calories are burned. Unlike calories which vary depending on the gender and weight, NikeFuel holds a common score for each type of activity. Algorithms for some movements are not 100% accurate but it should not affect this gadget’s overall effectiveness. So if you want to lose weight or maintain weight, this might be the right gadget you need. It will motivate you and will help you solve your weight problem and also, it is not very expensive!

The band is water resistant so you are all set if you want to see how many calories you bur in the shower, but Nike recommends to take it off before you go in a pool, hot tub or a sauna.

Porsche Automobil Holding SE orshort as Porsche is a German holding with investments in automotive industry. This company is headquartered in Zuffenhausen which is a city district in Stuttgart and is owned by the Piech and Porsche families. It was founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche.

One of the first assignments this company received was from the government to design a car for the people that is a “Volkswagen”. After the war, in 1945, Ferdinand lost his position as Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen and instead of him, Ivan Hrist was put in charge of the factory. He was a British Army Major. The relationship between Porsche and Volkswagen was always close and on 5th July 2012, Volkswagen AG announced a deal with Porsche resulting in Volkswagen’s full ownership n 1st August the same year. Volkswagen AG paid Porsche shareholders 5.61 bilion for the remaining 50.1% it did not own. This deal was classified as restructuring and not as take over which is not allowed.

Timeless masterpieces to boast your tastes

If you’re like me, your tastes are particular and they define you. It’s important to know what you like, and I like classy things that hint of my hard work, my lust for excellence and my intolerance for delivering anything second rate. There are many exciting ways in which to execute such delicate hints in my life and I appreciate the opportunities to do just that.

My aquarium is a prized masterpiece in my house. What could possibly be more timeless than life itself? While I love my fish, I’m not yet a seasoned expert so for now I boast a 90 gallon fresh water tank featuring over twenty varietals of fish and a number of plants as well. Not only does it aesthetically draw me in with its mesmerizing beauty, it reveals a number of things about me too. It illustrates my appreciation for fragile ecosystems and I even look at it as a temporary gift to all of my guests. If you’re more of an expert, I’d definitely recommend investing in a salt water aquarium. For me, it is more romantic as it represents the endless vastness and wonder and adventure of the sea.

When I put on my Rolex in the morning, the weight of it is comforting. Not because it affords me access to perfect time at any moment of the day or night, but more because its weight is a constant reminder that my taste is that of perfection. It represents my appreciation of top notch excellence and pride in the idea that anything you do should be done right and it can always be done better. Because of this precise sentiment, Rolex has been the standard by which every other watch is measured, for generations. If you are as inspired by this notion as I am, check out what Rolex is all about at rolex repair or rolex service center and familiarize yourself. You’ll be glad that you did.

Another great way to boast your classy tastes is to learn how to prepare a classy meal. For many of us, cooking is an intimidating adventure better suited to chefs at restaurants, but with a bit of knowledge on the basics and a flare for creativity, even you can become a more than adequate cook. There is an easy recipe for every dish known to human kind on the internet nowadays, and your computer might be your best friend when coming up with the perfect, classy meal. Just tonight, I simmered shredded pork belly in a balsamic reduction, added some shallots and fresh picked broccoli flowers and served it over long grain rice. The beauty of this was how quick and easy the entire process was! Get yourself a cookbook or a recipe app for your phone and see where your inspiration takes you!
